I committed myself to this course last year as I felt it was crucial that I take all necessary steps to up-skill and ensure a successful future for myself and my family and get out of the dead end job rut. Now of course the pandemic did not help as studying when your 3 young children are besides themselves being locked in all day really became a challenge yet I held myself to the responsibility that this is on me and if i want to change my future then the path less traveled is the only way. So with working long night-shifts all the way through the pandemic (I was a key-worker), to get home and sleep as much as i could and wake up to workout, fetch my children from school and use the time they are sat down eating their dinner to jam pack as much information into my brain as physically possible and then 7pm comes around and I am off out to work. So for me every TMA uploaded or centre study section completed and passed was a huge achievement alone and now I have worked up to getting my first practical week booked in and have continued into the new coursework books sent to me to get a headstart into the next sections and revisit old units to keep all information fresh as I am so eager to progress and get into the field as soon as possible so work ethic will stay at an all time high until I can finally apply for a job in the industry and get all relevant experience to help me flourish. So in all I believe I have my routine dialled in to make use of every second of the day whether it be work, coursework or family time and I truly cannot wait until I have achieved my qualifications so I can change my families lives for the better and have a career to be proud of. Just a note if this ends up being published by the college. No matter your situation or how many responsibilities you have, if doing a course like this is something you have been thinking about then go for it! I have a new goal that directly affects my future in a positive way and the motivation from that alone is enough to get me through even with all my family and other responsibilities. So do your future self a favour and up-skill and find your career!
